The Basics of Online Keno
If state lottery draws are done every minute, how many chances do you have of winning?
You have about one chance per minute. Yet, this is the rate of winning you get not in state lotteries but in the lottery-like game, online keno.
Playing online keno is like staking for a lottery except that in online keno, draws are done not weekly, not daily, not even hourly, but in as close as minutes.
Online keno is even a much faster game to play than live keno. In live keno, interval between games is usually about five minutes to allow time for everyone to write off their bets, mark their cards, go to a keno writer, and get their ticket.
To play online keno, first you choose the number of spots you want to play. Then you select the numbers you want to play from the numbers that appear on the screen. The number that you have clicked on will light up. If you want to cancel a choice, simply repeat clicking the number. Most online casinos allow a maximum of ten spots and a minimum of one spot per keno game. The numbers you have selected will appear on your keno board.
In online keno, you also have the option of letting the computer automatically and randomly pick numbers for you. To do this, simply hit the tab that says "Automatic Deal 10 numbers."
Then you place your bet by clicking on the denomination you want to bet. Most casinos have $1, $3, and $5 bets. (To see how much you are likely to win if your numbers hit, check the box on one side of your screen.)
Then click on the number of keno games you'd like to play. Usually, there are options for 1, 5, and 10 games.
If you want to wager on the same selection of numbers, all you need to do is press the "Repeat bet" button that appears on your screen.
To win in keno, your numbers must hit. Meaning, the number you have selected must match the numbers randomly drawn by the computer. Payout in keno depends on the number of your spots, the number of your hits, and the amount of your wager. In online keno, the more your spots, the larger your bets, the higher the payout. For instance, a dollar bet on 2-spots payoffs $5, $10 on 3-spots, $50 on 4-spots, and so on and so forth. If you bet $3, the base payoff (of a given spot) will be multiplied to 3. If you bet $5, then the payoff will be multiplied to 5. So instead of $5 on a 2-spot hit, you will get $15 on a $3-bet, and win $25 on a $5-bet.
Playing online keno is definitely the most convenient, the fastest way to enjoy keno. No need to hand your card to a keno writer or runner. Just click on your numbers and let the computer start the draw.
